Museum Pass FAQ

How do I reserve a Museum Pass?

You can reserve a museum pass online with your Library card number and PIN.

How many passes can I reserve?

You can reserve one pass per week with your Library card. Each museum pass includes at least two adult tickets; some passes include four or more tickets. You can reserve one pass to the same museum once every 30 days.

When should I book a Museum Pass?

You can reserve up to 30 days in advance of your museum visit. We have very limited availability, so book as soon as you can. New passes are available each evening after 9 p.m.

How can I find out which passes are available on a specific date?

Our online reservation system lets you search options by date. You can also search by museum. For most museums you will need to reserve passes a month in advance due to limited availability.

Do I need to print the passes?

Yes. Every museum in our free pass program requires you to bring a printed pass and photo identification. For a small fee, you can print your passes at any Library location. You can view or cancel your pass reservations when you log in with your Library card number and PIN.

Can I use my passes on any date?

No. Passes are only good on the date you requested. You can view and cancel a reservation online, Ask Us, at any branch or by phone at 206-386-4636. After canceling, you can request a new pass.

What should I do if no passes are available for a museum I want to visit?

Check back after 9 p.m. New passes are available every night.

What should I do if I lose my printed pass?

You can view and reprint your pass when you log in with your Library card number and PIN. Please email us if you would like a pass re-sent to you via email.
