University Branch closed for exterior construction improvements
The University Branch closed July 25, 2016, for about three weeks so the back stairs and ramp could be replaced. The book drop also is closed.
The work is part of a three-month exterior construction project to improve drainage and access to the branch. Most of the site, including the front steps and lawns, will be fenced off and inaccessible through October.
The branch and book drop are expected to reopen in mid-August; a reopening date will be set once construction work is underway.
Patrons may choose any other Library location as a pickup location for items placed on hold and may return materials to any branch.
If patrons don't select an alternate branch before July 15, holds will be sent to the Northeast Branch, 6801 35th Ave. N.E., 206-684-7539.
Patrons also may visit the nearby Green Lake Branch, 7364 E. Green Lake Dr. N., 206-684-7547.
