Library Closed Monday, Feb. 15

All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15.


Possible service interruption in online Library services Feb. 13 - 14

The Library will be performing maintenance on our network. While we are not expecting service interruptions during this period, there might be brief interruptions in online services. You will be able to search the Bibliocommons catalog, but may not be able to log in, place holds, renew items or use other catalog features. The former Library catalog (Horizon Information Portal) may experience outages as well. SPL Mobile, access to e-books, free music downloads and many databases and applications also may be affected.

Getting to the Queen Anne Branch

The Queen Anne Branch is located at 400 W. Garfield St.

Driving from the north or south via I-5:

  • Take I-5 exit 167 at Mercer St.
  • At end of ramp, cross Fairview Ave N. and continue north on Mercer St. for 1 mile.
  • Turn right onto Queen Anne Ave N and go up the hill 8 blocks north to W. Galer St.
  • Take slight left on to W. Galer St. and go 4 blocks to 4th Ave W.
  • Turn right on to 4th Avenue W. and proceed one block to W. Garfield St.
  • Library is on NW corner of 4th Avenue W and West Garfield St.



There is ample street parking available.
