Central Library Photos & Videos

The Central Library, with its dramatic exterior planes, light-filled interior spaces and extraordinary use of color, is already the subject of many photographs and other art works. Here is a selection of images.

A Library For All: Seattle's New Central Library(Opens a new window) - May 26, 2004
The Seattle Channel presents a half-hour documentary on the opening of the new downtown library. 'A Library for All' features behind the scenes planning with former City Librarian Deborah Jacobs, staff and architects; footage of project architect Rem Koolhass; interviews with library board members; and a tour of the new building with Jacobs.

Additional images are included in many newspaper and magazine articles about the building. To locate those, see links in Media Profiles.
