Library Closed Monday, Feb. 15

All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15.

 

Possible service interruption in online Library services Feb. 13 - 14

The Library will be performing maintenance on our network. While we are not expecting service interruptions during this period, there might be brief interruptions in online services. You will be able to search the Bibliocommons catalog, but may not be able to log in, place holds, renew items or use other catalog features. The former Library catalog (Horizon Information Portal) may experience outages as well. SPL Mobile, access to e-books, free music downloads and many databases and applications also may be affected.

iPod Classic users have access to online content including: audiobooks and music.

Audiobook formats: MP3

  1. Download the OverDrive Media Console to your computeropens in a new window
  2. Log into your library account
  3. Find an audiobook you want and check it out
    (You may need to place a hold on popular items)
  4. Click on the Download button and choose the MP3 format. The book will download to the OverDrive Media Console
  5. Transfer to an iPod, by plugging your device into your computer via its USB cable, and clicking on the Transfer button in the OverDrive Media Console

Note: MP3 audiobooks can be returned early from the OverDrive Media Console
