Microsoft IT Academy

Learn technology skills online through the Microsoft IT Academy. This free program is available to all Washington State residents.

 

If you have a Library card at The Seattle Public Library, you can start right now. If you don't have a Library card, you can visit us in person for instructions or Ask the Washington State Library for help. 

 

You need a Microsoft account to use Microsoft IT Academy.

  • Create a Microsoft account if you do not already have one (you can use an existing email).
  • Go to your email to verify your account.

 

Note: If you are using a Library computer, you will need to have headphones.

Choose your learning plan and log in using your Microsoft account:

 

  • Basic Computer Skills 
    Learn computer basics, social networking and how to find information on the Web. Access to additional courses about digital literacy.
  • MS Office 2010 Suite
    Courses about the Office 2010 version of Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word.
  • MS Office 2013 Essentials
    Courses about applications in the Office 2013 Suite. 
  • Other Microsoft Courses
    Courses for Microsoft programs such as Dynamics, Exchange Server, Office 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, Visual Studio Windows Client and Server, and much more. Enter a keyword in the search box or click on Browse to select from the available programs.
