Library Closed Monday, Feb. 15

All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15.

 

Possible service interruption in online Library services Feb. 13 - 14

The Library will be performing maintenance on our network. While we are not expecting service interruptions during this period, there might be brief interruptions in online services. You will be able to search the Bibliocommons catalog, but may not be able to log in, place holds, renew items or use other catalog features. The former Library catalog (Horizon Information Portal) may experience outages as well. SPL Mobile, access to e-books, free music downloads and many databases and applications also may be affected.

The Library Equal Access Program (LEAP) helps make the Library a great resource for people with disabilities or special needs. The program offers special adaptive equipment at the Central Library and the Columbia Branch, items in accessible formats and Library services for people with special needs, including people who are:

The Library fully complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides accommodations by request for physical access, communications or other needs that ensure our services, activities and employment are available to people with disabilities. It also provides extended loan periods and paper notifications through its ADA Circulation Qualification program pdf.

Access for All: Accessibility Kits & Assistive Technology are available in all Library locations.

 

All Library locations are wheelchair accessible. The Central Library has an adaptive technology lab on Level 1 and underground parking. For more information, see:

 

 

Other Services

 

Mobile Library Services can bring the Library to you! If you live in Seattle and can't regularly visit a branch due to age, disability or an illness that keeps you at home for at least six months, Mobile Services can have Library items delivered to you.
