The Age of Discovery: Parker McAllister Watercolors
Between December 1954 and August 1957, Seattle Times staffer Parker McAllister painted more than 35 watercolor paintings of explorers, their ships, and Native Americans. In 1963, the Seattle Times donated 120 watercolors of Pacific Northwest historical scenes painted by McAllister to The Seattle Public Library.
Original artwork by McAllister from the Library's collection and complementary historical materials will be on display Sept. 23 through Dec. 31 at the Central Library, Level 8, during open hours.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.
