The Seattle Public Library participates in World Book Night April 23

World Book Night

The Seattle Public Library is participating in World Book Night U.S. by serving as a book pick-up site for volunteers.

World Book Night takes place on Tuesday, April 23. On World Book Night, 25,000 volunteer book givers across the U.S. will each give away 20 copies of a specially-printed, not-for-resale World Book Night U.S. edition of a book they have read and loved, chosen from a list of 30 titles selected by a panel of librarians and booksellers.

World Book Night U.S. is a campaign to give thousands of free paperback books to light or nonreaders in one day. The goal of World Book Night is to spread the love of reading by seeking out those without the means or access to printed books.
