The Seattle Public Library presents 'Intro to Digital Topographic Maps' Dec. 5 at the Central Library

The Seattle Public Library will host an "Intro to Digital Topographic Maps" class from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Boeing Technology Training Center Room 4.
The class is free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required; call to register or send an email via Ask a Librarian. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $5 after 5 p.m.
U.S. Topo is the newest generation of topographic maps from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Class instructor Tom Carlson, Washington State's geospatial liaison to the USGS, will demonstrate how to use U.S. Topo in a hands-on environment. Attendees may use a Library computer or bring their own laptop.
