The Seattle Public Library hosts Seattle Symphony preview lecture Jan. 24

The Seattle Public Library will host a preview lecture of the Seattle Symphony's upcoming performance of Messiaen's "Turangalîla Symphony" from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium.
The preview is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library parking garage for $5 after 5 p.m.
Paul Schiavo, program annotator for the Seattle Symphony, will lead a discussion on Olivier Messiaen's unique masterpiece "Turangalîla Symphony." The preview will begin with a performance by pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, the 2009 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist.
