The Seattle Public Library: Rotating closures for in-service days

The Seattle Public Library logo

Each branch of The Seattle Public Library will close for one day in late September or early October for in-service days so staff members can review the Library's strategic plan, service priorities and goals for serving patrons.

In past years, the entire system closed for a single in-service day. This year, closures will rotate so there always are libraries open in most areas of the city. The Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., will remain open throughout.

See below for the closure schedule:

Book drops will remain open at all locations. No fines will accrue for items returned to branches that are closed for their in-service staff day.
