Possible service interruption in online Library services Feb. 13 - 14
The Library will be performing maintenance on our network. While we are not expecting service interruptions during this period, there might be brief interruptions in online services. You will be able to search the Bibliocommons catalog, but may not be able to log in, place holds, renew items or use other catalog features. The former Library catalog (Horizon Information Portal) may experience outages as well. SPL Mobile, access to e-books, free music downloads and many databases and applications also may be affected.
The Seattle Public Library participates in Seattle Urban Trek race April 27
The Seattle Public Library's Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., is one of 12 checkpoints in the Seattle Urban Trek race taking place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27 in downtown Seattle.
Upon arriving at the Central Library, race participants will need to answer a trivia question about the library in order to move on to the next destination.
The Seattle Urban Trek is a team adventure race that combines the attractions of Seattle with treasure hunting, running, social media, problem solving and team work. Starting at the downtown Seattle Waterfront, teams of three will race a 7-10 mile course consisting of a series of fun and unique checkpoints hosting mystery cognitive or physical challenges.
This event is sponsored by Seattle Sports Commission.
