Jason Mott reads from 'The Returned' Sept. 16 at The Seattle Public Library

Award-winning poet Jason Mott will read from his debut novel, "The Returned," from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16 at The Seattle Public Library, Greenwood Branch, 8016 Greenwood Ave. N.


Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available at the branch.


"The Returned" features a story in which all around the world people's loved ones return from the dead. The book has been adapted into the television series "Resurrection" debuting in spring 2014.


Mott's poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals. He was nominated for a 2009 Pushcart Prize award, and Entertainment Weekly has named him one of its 10 "New Hollywood: Next Wave" people to watch. He lives in North Carolina.


This event is presented in partnership with The Elliott Bay Book Co. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
