Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the High Point Branch of The Seattle Public Library
The Seattle Public Library is planning a special celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of the High Point Branch, 3411 S.W. Raymond St. (206-684-7454).
The public is invited to join in the festivities from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the branch. All activities are free and open to the public. No registration is required. Free parking is available.
Meet City Librarian Marcellus Turner, enjoy refreshments, get a henna design and share your memories of the High Point Branch at the celebration.
The current High Point Branch opened June 19, 2004. It was the ninth project completed under the 1998 voter-approved "Libraries for All" building program. The branch features an expansive view of Puget Sound, eco-friendly landscaping, and artwork by Seattle artist Steve Gardner that depicts legends from different cultures about the constellations and the sky.
For more information, call the branch at 206-684-7454 or Ask a Librarian.
