Discuss foreign policy and world issues at The Seattle Public Library
The Seattle Public Library will host a series of eight Great Decisions 2013 sessions on a variety of world issues at the Magnolia Branch, 2801 34th Ave. W. See below for the schedule and program descriptions.
Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Discussions will be led by local facilitator Cathy Van Dyke. Free parking is available at the Magnolia Branch.
- "Myanmar and Southeast Asia" - 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 - This session will focus on Myanmar's democratic reforms and challenges the Southeast Asia country must overcome.
- "Threat Assessment" - 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 - This session will explore how the U.S. should address the challenges of a weak economy, homegrown terrorism and nuclear proliferation.
Great Decisions is a national civic education program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association.
