All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 15.

We promised to improve computer and online services.


2014 Accomplishments:


  • Upgraded Wi-Fi infrastructure systemwide to provide faster and more reliable Internet service 
  • Added digital media software such as Photoshop and InDesign to all Internet computers for the public
  • Offered more than 2,500 hours of one-on-one Tech Help after systemwide program expansion. Patrons can learn how to use an e-reader, download e-books, get a free email address, and more
  • Piloted tablets for families in children's area at Central Library
  • Installed interactive Visitor Center at Central Library
